Hana-Stanford Conference on Korea for U.S. Secondary Teachers was established at the Korean Studies Program in 2012 with the generous support of Hana Financial Group. More than one million Korean Americans currently reside in every corner of the United States, forming one of the largest Asian American communities in the United States. This unit presents a thematic overview of the diverse Korean American experience in order to expand students’ understanding of a community that constitutes an increasingly important part of contemporary U.S. society.
